I receive far better service from this great bike shop in a rural Wisconsin college town then I do from either of the TWO bike shops in my hometown of Kenosha.
Hard to get bike back when they are very busy, which happens often. Prices a slightly high for my taste. Workmanship is pretty good though. For its size does have a lot to offer.
Tim and crew are hard to beat. This is an amazing resource for SW Wisconsin. From repair to sales, from parts to accessories, this place is top-notch. Our family has purchased all our bikes (9+) in the last 15 years from Tim, and he does a great job accepting trade-ins to count as credit on new upgrades. (This is especially appreciated on the kids' bikes, as they have grown in and out of multiple bikes.) The shop has demo bikes to loan out, test, and ride before you commit to a significant purchase. Perhaps most importantly, Tim and his shop are VERY involved in the local community and believe in investing time and resources to make Platteville a better place for all. Now matter what your level or confidence, these folks are never condescending. They are always respectful and upbeat. Yes, you could go somewhere with more volume and "discount" prices...but why? Not only do you get MORE than what you pay for with Tim, you support a local business that supports you and your community right back. So "close the loop", take a trip to Main Street, and experience what a bike shop should be.
Very supportive of the local cycling community and the collegiate cycling club. Good luck finding a better bike shop between Dubuque and Madison!

Big selection for a small town. They focus on fat bikes but have every kind of bike in the store and can get you anything. I've seen a $15K tandem in there and a fat recumbent tricycle. Electric bikes and vintage parts as well. Good people to talk to/work with and very valuable asset for the town.
The guys and gals here have been great. I've had a few issues with my bike, and they've been quick to fix the issues.
